PRE: Costume Ideas

We have decided on having the costume of the victims very similar and by choosing black, we are almost being ironic as black usually symbolises power and in the situation both victims have been put in they have no power. Black is a dark colour which means that it can take any focus away from the costume of the victim.

The antagonist's costume is not seen throughout the teaser trailer although he would have been in black to prevent his costume from being seen, however the significant parts of his costume would be:

Footwear - Boots are normally used within a work place which is normally dirty and holds some kind of danger, whereby protecting your feet is one of the many precautions which may be in place. Boots often belong to a male who is strong and who has a very masculine job such as a builder, this then connotes certain characteristics of the antagonist.

Gloves - Gloves are often worn to keep hands warm, also to conceal identity. Gloves are a typical convention in a horror movie as it connotes the lost identity of a antagonist. The gloves we intend to use in our trailer are ones usually used in workshops to view the antagonist as a handy man who deals with sharp objects such as machetes, blades, screwdrivers etc.
